Reliable architecture, low power consumption and support for MP3, PCM and Ethersound protocols. The Exstreamer 500 is a professional IP audio codec device featuring balanced analog audio interfaces (stereo input and output) and contact closure. It features a USB interface for connecting external flash drives for storage of audio files for the automatic playlist. The reliability and low power consumption of its architecture make the Exstreamer 500 the ideal device for STL applications, for transmitting audio signals to nodes and routing signals in general.

Characteristics

• Stereo audio codec (encoder/decoder) for MPEG1 and MPEG2 Layer 3 (MP3), PCM linear modulation, μ-Law and Law quantization algorithm and 8 to 48 KHz sampling rate. Not compatible with AAC+, WMA and Ogg Vorbis audio formats (supported only by changing client firmware in sequence).
• Unlike other products in the Exstreamer family, the Exstreamer 500 can encode and decode audio signals simultaneously in PCM.
• 10/100Mbps Ethernet interface
• USB 1.1 interface for flash drives (FAT 16/32 file system)
• Variable power input with low power consumption
• Two independent serial ports (RS-232 and RS-485)
• Infrared decoding with optional serial port IR receiver
